ETS Levy on Portsmouth - Fishbourne sailings

From 6 May 2026, vehicle bookings made on our Portsmouth – Fishbourne route for travel taken after 1 July 2026 will be subject to a new Government Emissions Trading Scheme levy.

The ETS Levy is £1.75 for vehicles that are five metres or longer, including freight, coaches, motorhomes and horse boxes.

Type	Height	Length	Description
Low vans	Up to 2.24 metres	5.01 to 7 metres	Vans, pickups, trucks and other goods vehicles designed to carry heavy loads and haven’t been constructed or adapted to carry extra passengers.
High vans	2.24 to 4.2 metres	5.01 to 7 metres	Taller vans, pickups, trucks and other goods vehicles designed to carry heavy loads and haven’t been constructed or adapted to carry extra passengers.
Rigid	Up to 4.2 metres	7.01 to 12 metres	Single chassis freight vehicles designed to carry heavy loads.
Artic	Up to 4.2 metres	12 to 19 metres	Tractor trailer freight vehicles up to 44 tonne gross weight, with a split chassis or separate unit.

Double-deck lorries

Both our St Faith and Victoria of Wight ferries are capable of taking double-deck articulated lorries across the Solent on our Portsmouth – Fishbourne route.
